Hello Everyone!
You have arrived at the new forum of the original newsletter, welcome to “Hilarie’s Helpful Hints!” My goal is for this website to be helpful to all expectant parents, new parents and ongoing parents as we all trek through this journey called “parenthood.”
The support and advice of fellow parents is an amazing resource, as each of us are experiencing our own joys and trials. I hope through this website, we can now easily continue to be there for each other, to share that needed ‘hint’ to see if that is just the key for our own child as we wade through these plethora of milestone topics.
I invite you to visit the many subjects discussed, a lot of the information is from fellow moms and dads and I thank all of these “Helpful Hinters” immensely for sharing the information so that all interested can be knowledgeable. I will be doing updates on a frequent basis and will be sending out an announcement via email (not more then bi-weekly) to let you know what new information, if any, has been updated. If anyone has information to impart, please feel free to email me and I’ll happily post it up!
Please also pass on this website to any expectant parents or current parents, I’d love to share the news with them. If you know of someone that might find this helpful, please pass on their email to me as well and I’ll add them to the distribution list.
Introducing some features of the website, we have many listed activities, from being centered around the baby (Baby Mine), for the family as a whole (Family Ties) and for the parents that need a break (Parents’ Time Out Corner)! I look forward to meeting you at one of these events and should you like to spearhead one, offer your services or lead a group, I’d love to hear from you and I thank you for offering in advance!
Quick overview of some new items on four additional focal points:
1) Message Board – I welcome anyone who has a question to pose to other parents to utilize this forum, I know we can get some great feedback! (e.g. Baby Bathtubs, 1st Yr. Birthday Present ideas?)
2) Recipe Sharing Thru the Message Brd. – Please feel free to share your ‘solids’ recipes, we have some great insight on allergy friendly food to the superfood ideas for the little ones.
3) Photo Albums – Should you attend an event that I will be at, I do my best to be snapping away! Many of those photos will be posted on this link so that you may download full resolution copies of these for your own keepsakes! Look for yourself in our events from July and August which are already up!
4) Golden Binky – Once a month, a local eatery will be given the award for having welcomed, assisted and/or accommodated parents and their little ones up and beyond expectations. It’s nice to know of a haven to grab a bite and for it be an ease while not feeling like a burden!
5) Naughty Spoon –Once a month, we shall be calling out those local eateries that can definitely improve on their ‘baby friendly’ attitudes. It will be a means for parents to be aware of these eateries and hopefully the restaurants may just take heed and shape up!
